Collecting John Pickford: Casting Room Miniatures

A few weeks ago Foundry made the announcement of setting up a new website called Casting Room Miniatures.

At Casting Room Miniatures you can get all the alternate versions of many of the models from the original Wargames Foundry range alongside with various others and interesting odds and ends.

The alternate versions were made between 2006 and 2012, where Foundry was run by "other hands".
During this period many of the original models were discontinued and replaced with more "modern" sculpts - and also expanded on their fantasy line including the many excellent sculpts made by John Pickford - like the Demons, Goblins, Undead, Halflings and Hill Trolls,

©Wargames Foundry

In the Summer 2012, when the Ansell's returned, all the original models (mostly models sculpted by Michael and Alan Perry) re-entered the main Foundry web-site, replacing most of the newer lines. Some of the alternative miniatures moved to a temporary home on the eBay store "Flyte of Fantasy" - others simply "disappeared".

Seems like the many John Pickford fantasy sculpts have finally found a "home".

There are still a few ranges missing (like the Evil Barbarians, the Christmas specials and the rest of the pig faced Orcs) - and who knows, perhaps we'll even see the huge Greater Demon and the mysterious Pig faced Space Orcs: I really hope the will get added, eventually. Fingers crossed.

Check it all out, here at: http://www.castingroomminiatures.com/

Collecting John Pickford: Otherworldly Hydra

Since the beginning of my friendship with John I've heard him speak about how much he would love doing a Hydra, and especially how much he would love doing it for Richard Scott (of Otherworld Miniatures), as Otherworld is well known for letting their sculptor play with classic fantasy/original D&D concepts - and would definitely be an opportunity to do this mythological monster great justice.

A Hydra from the 2nd edt. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monstrous Compendium Vol. 1

Over the years, John Pickford has done so many wonderful dungeon monsters and wilderness encounters for Otherworld, but he has never been let loose on bigger reptilian monsters. And when Otherworld actually started doing their big serpentine and reptilian creatures they decided doing dragons? Not, that the dragons - done by talented Andrew May - ain't great, but hydras are cooler. Much more vicious, nasty and cruel. So all hope might seem lost - just till this showed up in Facebook-land and soon after on various miniature-news-sites.

A beautiful 5 headed-Hydra measuring almost 7 inches and sculpted by ... John Pickford, of course. Looks like he persuaded Richard after all :-)

And ain't she a beauty? Looks like she has just jumped out of an old monster manual, ready for action.

Now, why write about this old piece of news (as the story was revealed in August 2015)? Well, first for a documentary reason. Secondly, health and time hasn't allow me much time for doing so - and third and foremost ... because mine has just arrived, and is too good not to be shared :-)

Otherworld Miniatures: WE24 – Hydra

It is cast in resin and comes in 6 parts and it is supplied with a laser-cut acrylic base as shown in some of the photos above.

Its a super-detail sculpt. And the level of details put into all the individually sculpted scales is magnificent and very accurate. You must be rather a mad-man requiring such a project. But that's John, in a nutshell, making the impossible possible - and that is why I admire this guy so much.

You can find the Hydra here at the Otherworld Miniature store. Including the wonderful display piece painted by Mr. Andrew Taylor.

Quite a surprise as I really hadn't seen this one coming, but what a nice surprise it was. The big news is that John Pickford has now officially become an Sci-Fi sculptor - and it's not just for anyone, no it's for one of the best Sci-Fi universe ever, the galaxy greatest Judge Dredd/2000AD,

Previously, John has done a few Sci-fi pieces as part of private commissions and also made an un-released range of Pig Faced Orcs in Space for Wargames Foundry - but non of these are really available to the common collectors. But that's all different now, as John has created 4 brand new superb sculpts for the Mongoose Publishing/Warlord Games Judge Dredd miniatures game.

First one is a new Street Judge with a Stub Gun for the Justice Department and can be found in the JD133 - Street Judges with Lazooka and Stub Gun - pack:

The other 3 sculpts can be found in the JD015 - Bri-Cit Judges box set:

In this set of 8 miniatures John Pickford did three - the Beat Judge with Bumf Gun, the crouching female Beat Judge aiming and the Para Squad Judge, fully trained to use the powers of her mind.

These are all beautifully detailed and excellent proportioned sculpts (as in straight out of a comic book, that is) and they do the fantastic Judge Dredd miniature range great justice (actually, quite a step up in quality from recent releases, if you ask me). I really, really like these and I'm very curious seeing what this new partnership might leads to, as this is way to good to be a one-off.

The new miniatures can be found at the Warlord and Mongoose web-stores - links down here:

At Mongoose you will also find the Brit-Cit Judges available separately.

And to prove that I actually do paint .... if not often then occasionally  :)

Sci-Fi Aenur
First, I took part in a little challenge in the awesome Emporium of Rogue Dreams Facebook group.

The Challenge was rather simple, as it appeared that so many people had an unloved Aenur laying around, that it was only natural that the participants tried to comes up with the best repurposing of this unloved miniature.

Unfortunately I gave up my piece many years ago, but a fellow member kindly donated a copy.

So all I had to then was start chopping up the Mordheim Elf Hired Sword, and convert it into a sci-fi miniature - rather simple :)

So right after receiving it i put clippers to the miniature, as I knew that the more I look at it, the more sorry I'd feel about doing it.

So took me just a few hours turning this:

into this:

Rather straight forward head and weapon swap. Only real challenge was the repositioning of the right arm.

And then I had like 10 weeks to paint it. But like everything else in my life it ended up being a last minute thing. But as always, I managed to finish, of course. So, here is my Wasteland Aenur:

I haven't painted anything Sci Fi in years but now feeling the Sci-Fi painting mojo again I recently grabbed another Sci-fi piece I have had sitting here for long.

A Pig in Space
The miniature is a custom made/private sculpt given to me as a present due my long recovery fase - and in return of this great gesture, I've actually painted it, now.

The miniature is as said a costume made sculpt and made in a kind of homage to an unreleased Foundry range of Sci-Fi Pig Faced Orcs, that John Pickford did some years ago. It's a terrific sculpt that's made in a lovely retro Sci-fi style but with a nice WW1 vibe to it.

Hopefully Foundry will soon release all his brothers, as this guy is getting lonely and could use some company.

Finished these two the other day - or is it four?

Back in 2007 the Frother’s Unite Community ran their 4th Pro-Am Sculpting Competition. The theme for this on was, as it always is, a very open theme trying not to limit the sculptor's creativity. The 2007 Competition theme was: "The Unseelie Suspects or the dark side of Faeryland" and sculptors where to do fantasy characters, spirits and creatures with inspiration taken from the classic folklore and fairy tale without going Disney.

A young sculptor named John Pickford entered this competition and was competing in the "Satyrs and woodland spirits" category.

For this category John did a entry called "Puck's Dance" - a diorama piece with roots in classic English folklore and Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - but with the usually little twist of evilness and humour that is seen on many Pickford sculpts. Puck was inspired by Neil Gaiman's "the Sandman" - in here Puck aids the Norse God Loki in kidnapping Daniel, and am playing a small role in the death of the Sandman.

The main figure is Puck, dancing on a rock, his true nature is revealed from behind.

With him are Peaseblossom on lute and Mustard Seed on trumpet, who provide the music for Puck's Dance.

The three of them are dancing and playing on what appears to be a pile of rocks and don't pay notice of the true inhabitant of the rock, who has safely hidden himself inside.

Clam Minis: Puck's Dance

The diorama was mastered back in 2007, and the rights for it given to White Knight. Peaseblossom and Mustard Seed has already been released by White Knight Miniatures, but he never did the hole piece. However, in 2014 White Knight offered me the chance of releasing the hole piece - didn't hesitate a second. And can be found at The Old Bag, now.

With the one existing master cast I got from WK came a variant head for Puck. I've cast it, though Puck is a single-piece cast. On a spare cast, I gently did the head swap and I have also painted the variant.

White Knight Miniatures Imperium have announced that they have joint forces with The Assult Group (TAG) and that TAG will take over moulding, casting, stocking and the processing of orders of the John Pickford Dwarf Empire miniatures.

From, 1st of December 2015, TAG will be involve in all aspects of the design, sales and distribution of White Knight's Dwarf Empire. And all the dwarfs are now available for general sale through the TAG-web-site.

TAG has been a strictly historical miniature maker, but are now breaking into the fantasy genre. To kickstart the dwarf-venture TAG has launched a crowd-funding campaign to fund the release of 17 brand new packs - The Dwarf Empire Knights on foot.

The Kickstarter campaign is a short one and ends on 31st December 2015. You'll find the campaign here:

Here is a small teaser to show what it's all about:

Hill Troll - take 3

Third Hill Troll is done - and this one was quite a challenge. Been sitting here - finished - for 3 weeks, without posting - as I really didn't like talking about it :(

This one is the first one of the throwing ones, and I decide doing the one chucking a rock - and I must say that this "one foot base-contact pose" was almost destroying the miniature.

I should have noticed this from the very start, as the weight balance is a bit strange on this one here. But I didn't - and close to finishing it broke by the ankle. Wonder why I needed a toothpick when doing this WIP picture? Lesson learned, I hope.

I drilled a 2mm hole through foot and lower leg and pinned it with brass rod and then repaired it with green stuff. And then repainted the ankle area. Thought I that had saved it, but no - the repair was weak and after a day it started leaning forward and the left almost touched the ground. Bending it back broke the ankle again. So had to start all over and ended up pinning the left foot to the base, too.

But here he is - after a lot of sweat and a few tears :(

Wargames Foundry: BSTR004 Giant Hill Troll chucking a rock

That's the third Giant Hill Troll done and dusted. Two left to go but I'll have to sit on this for some time. An awful experience, it was - and I don't really feel like start doing another right now - especially not the para-glider one.

Collecting John Pickford: Bood Wargames

Bood Wargames is a new small-production company/private venture.

Bood Wargames is currently producing a small line of dwarfs in an wonderful old-school medieval/imperial style. Much in style with the old Citadel Imperial Dwarfs range sculpted by the Perry-twins.

The basic components (heads, torsos, legs, arms, weapons) of these miniatures are sculpted by John Pickford, but the final assembly and component adjustments are done by Eddy War. The fantastic and characterful ponies (serving as mounts for the dwarf cavalry) are originally Pickford sculpts, as well.

It's a wonderful little range of very characterful Pickford dwarfs and very attractive to any dwarf enthusiast. I'd say :-)

Unfortunately, I don't have any of these in my collection - but here are a few examples from the Bood-Wargames page:

Drunken Dwarf by Bood-Wargames

Mounted Dwarf Troopers by Bood-Wargames

You learn more about Bood Wargames and how to get your hands on these - here at their blog.

Bood Wargams has also been added to the wiki - but for now, there is not much to show.

Collecting John Pickford: Sci-Fi Pig Faced Orks (Sporks) by Foundry

... or kind of, as these have never been actually released.

Back in 2011, just before the Ansell's took back over the control of Wargames Foundry, John was commissioned to transferred the fantasy Pig faced Orcs (used in the God of Battles-rule system for the Warriors of a Thousand Tribes) into the future and he made a range of of Pig Faced Orks in Space - with the working title "Sporks".

The ranges consists of several sculpts and war gear items, but the range was put on hold when new management took over and the characterful sculpts that had been made are still unreleased by Foundry.

For a long time the only proof of their existence has been this picture from Foundry:

However, at Christmas 2015 I found the following 3 sculpts in an recently made order from Foundry. The miniatures was a little gift making up for a small delay, I even didn't notice :)

I was very excited seeing them in the flesh. Till now, I had only seen the little personal Spork tribute John did me in 2014 after surgery.

But now seeing official metal casts from Foundry make me feel one step closer seeing these miniatures given a prober release.

Thought, that was it, but in March 2016 James Halloway posted some rather interesting news on his blog: Gonzo History: Gaming Edition (Go check it out if you like Orks). In this blog post James talks about his attendance at BOYL 2015 (Bring Out Your Lead, which is an yearly Oldhammer wargaming event - held at Wargames Foundry in Newark) - and a chat he had with Foundry (and Citadel Miniatures) founder Mr. Bryan Ansell. Yes, that Bryan :)
During this conversation Bryan showed James their unreleased Sci-Fi Orks and kindly gave out a set of 15 of them. Wow! :)

And with James' permission (thank you, James), I'd like to present the Foundry Sporks :) And for those interested they have also been added to the Collecting John Pickford Wiki.

As you can see there's only 13 in the picture because the last two have been beautifully painted by James:

Collecting John Pickford: Four A Miniatures is now on Kickstarter

Good friend, Andrew Coleman (owner of Four A Miniatures) is back with some new Pickford sculpts. This time he will be bringing them out through Kickstarter.

Back in 2013 Andy released a set of 4 awesome chaotic dwarfs/dwarf creatures. I picked those up personally in London at Salute 2013 and when visiting, Andy revealed that more was to be made. And it's those pieces that have found there way to Kickstarter, now.

The two new pieces are both an attempt on making female chaotic dwarfs. A delicate subject, as there isn't much material regarding female dwarfs in general, so lots of artistic freedom interpreting. And John really explored the subject and twisted and curled it into two weird, but wonderful, characters.

Here's some shots of the wonderful creations John made for the campaign.

First the sorceress type character called the Weeping Queen

Normal version

Winged version and alternated head

And the other one is the magnificent 17th century styled character, called "Bella"
Normal version

Spider version

Like most dwarfs by John, these are multi parted miniatures and both comes in two different versions. A normal one (or as normal as a female fantasy Chaos Dwarf can be) and a gifted/mutated one - and for a merely £20 pledge you can get all 4 version.

I'm really looking forward to this. Fingers crossed, that the campaign will succeed and that the cooperation between John and Andy will continue . and they will keep producing such excellent personalities/characters.

Should you like to learn more and even consider supporting it, you can find the Kickstarter here - and should you just like to learn more about Four A Miniatures, you can find them here

Collecting John Pickford: Old School Miniatures Presents: The Daemon Cannon!

These days. the best way to obtaining new John Pickford sculpts seems to be pledging on Kickstarters - and this week I'd like to share two with you. Both Kickstartes are very close to my heart as they involve my favourite fantasy species - the Dwarfs and because they are of exceptional good quality. Both campaigns are run by good friends of mine - who have kindly let me follow the process - from idea to creation. Thank you Matt and Gary

Old School Miniatures Presents: The Daemon Cannon!

First one, and probably the most exciting new Pickford miniature in all 2016, is the Oldschool Miniatures' Daemon Cannon.

This miniature started out as an idea on a facebook group. Amongst the Chaos Dwarfs Oldhammer's there has always been a certain mystery and love regarding the Chronicle Chaos Cannon/Chaos Dwarf Siege Gun aka the Chaos Dwarfs Ass-cannon (it's a demon blowing balls out of its rear). Back in 1987, the original Chaos Dwarf Siege Gun was released but was mail order only and only available for a short time. The original cannon was sculpted by Nick Lund and probably pulled back because it was connected to the sculptor's feeling towards his bosses at Citadel.

In love of this miniature sprung an idea of doing an updated version of this beast - as a tribute to the original but also as a master piece in its own rights.

Matthew Dunn picked it up and with the support of the Facebook Group members (who bought into the project- later to obtain a master cast prototype) it turned from idea and concept into a metal prototype miniature during winter 2015/16 and spring 2016.

Here's a few pictures from the conceptual and sculpting phase.

The final set of greens

The mastering was quite a nightmare and quite a few of us actually feared the miniature might have been lost. The green took severe damaged during the high pressure rubber vulcanisation process but luckily a few decent casts came out of the mould and after some hard work it was possible to remoulded the piece and out came the the most beautiful master casts/prototypes.

I've been sitting on my copy for quite a while, but as the Cannon has entered the Kickstarting stage, I'm "allowed" sharing - so here "he" is with all his crew (the awesome Engineer and the three multi parted crewmen). Let me present my newest "baby":

I haven't painted mine yet, but have started building it. Hopefully I can share my progress soon.

And as said, the Daemon Cannon is now on Kickstarter.

Matthew and his friend Jamie Loft have decided setting up a small business based around the concept of "Old School miniatures". The Daemon Cannon is (with a Chaos Warrior by Mr. Kev Adams) their first release - go take a look at their Kickstater - and perhaps make a pledge for this awesome machinery of destruction.

And while there, please notice the £2.000 pledge goal :) A Goblin Crew alternative ....? by John....! Wuuhuu !!!

Collecting John Pickford: Iron Mask Miniatures - Dwarf Musketeers - the Forlorn Hope

The second Kickstarter I'm to share this week is the third campaign from Gary Price's Iron Mask Miniatures - and is this a big one?

I've given up counting how many new miniatures there is in this one. Gary stats there is over 40 new poses, but like last he has gone crazy on hand/weapon and head options.

Like the other two previous campaigns, this one is also about Dwarf Musketeers, but this time he leading the dwarfs into war. Previously, Gary has aimed the skirmish gamers but this one certainly appeals to the larger/mass battle gamer, too. So it's time to enrol new troops for you Old world Warhammer, Dragon Rampant or Kings of War armies.

This release includes core infantry of musketeers with firelock muskets, halberdiers and pikemen but also command figures and two new Mounted Dwarf Musketeer poses (picket and escort). The focus are one the Firelock Muskets, of course with 7 different packs to chose from (each with the option a 3 different set of heads) and the fantastic Veterans with their sculpt on heads making it possible to give them longer hair and beards.
Firelock Muskets - separate head

Mounted Escorts

- and then we can look forward to two new Special Characters - the SC12 Dwarf Senior Officer and SC13 Halfling Drummer. Magnificent sculpts they are ....

The campaign will be running untill November 13th. Already half way through but definitely need more support to succeed and open those wonderful stretched goals. You'll find the campaign here:

A shameless plug for my own little miniature venture as I've just made another two Pickford sculpts available and I have taken delivery of a limited quantity of Arnórr - an evil human warrior (Ewal Besekr) and Finngálkin - a dwarfish centaur creature.

Clam Minis: Arnórr - Ewal Beserkr

Arnórr is a Pickford classic. A heroic scaled evil human dressed up with lots of classic Pickford demonic face all over and a awesome living war hammer - and comes with 3 choices of helmets.

Clam Minis: Finngálkin - Ewal Dvergr Centaur

Finngálkin is a evil centaur creature raised from the furnace of doom. The Centaur is a mix of dwarf and pony and comes with two animal themed visor helmets - bull and pony.

Thanks to White Knight Miniatures Imperium for allowing this to happens.

You find these and a couple of release here at: http://claminiatures.blogspot.dk/2017/02/february-releases.html

I've had the brushes out for the first time in ages - and rather than finishing some of the many half-painted ones standing here, I decided starting a newly cast piece - The EDX-90 Dvergr Mountaineer from my own Ewal Dvergar range.

I sculpted this miniature myself and had it cast recently. It's always special holding a newly cast miniature in your hand, you have spent hours sculpting yourself - even more weird putting your brush to it .... actually quite a scary feeling, it is...

But mission completed - and here he is - first miniature of 2017. Hope you like it :)

Sorry about the title, but it was so obvious :)

I've been painting the Space Pirate/Bounty Hunter Sjoerd Trowee did for me, or actually did back in 2014 for the Froth Eisley sculpting competition (the Forthers United (FU UK!) Sculpting Competition), but later offered on to me. The miniature were mastered last year, but added to an empty slot in the production mould I've just have had made.

It's a nice, but also very clean miniature by Sjoerd and I really found him hard painting. Not sure if it's the "cleanness" or just that I'm feeling rather rusty when it comes to painting Sci-Fi miniatures. And using bright colours too, didn't help at all. But I've added some dirt and battle damage to it covering up the most dodgy paintings and obvious mistakes - and a nice busy base, to steal a bit of focus, always helps :)

Clam Minis: Rana Geil

Ayone no of the faith of the other Froth Eisley entries? Were any of the other lovely entries ever cast up and made commercially available? I'd definitely like to here about it, if so.

Till next time, take care.

Bunbun, Nubnub

An old friend of mine, all way back from the heyday of Chaos Dwarf Online, Mattt Baaij/"Bolg" has sent me a little present and I've finally found the time to pay this little gift some attention.

Mattt became know in the Chaos Dwarf community for building armies out of almost anything - and was especially well-know for his "cheap-skate" Warhammer armies build out of Kinder-eggs, scrap bits and large quantities of putty/modelling clay and a dose of great talent.

However, Mattt greatest passion is drawing - and especially drawing comics. And for years you have been able to follow the "cute" little rabbit "Bunbun" - in his very own web-comic

(click banner)

And Bunbun is certainly a cute little thing, but it's in that sexist, pervert, chauvinistic kind of way cute - that gives it a slightly bitter taste in your mouth :) But his is drawn with such great humour and passion that you can't help but loving the poor little guy.

Over his lifetime Bunbun also got a female companion, Nubnub - someone to take care of his rough edges, so when he sees her for the first time he hugs her to death, of course. But she kept appearing at has become a raw girl-power character and Bunbun has to work hard for her love.

Now, what has all that to do with "a present", you might ask. Well, over the years Mattt has combined the two thing - Bunbun and wargaming - and has created a very unique Bunbun warhammer army - and during the process of turning the 2D comic hero into 3D - Nubnub has been materialised and turned into a true metal miniature

- and Mattt has kindly granted me the opportunity of painting her. So here she is - the lovely, but lethal

Nubnub - sculpted by Mattt Baaij

Thank you, Mattt - such a pleasure painting - now please do me a Bunbun - she's rather lonely :)

And if you'd like to know more and read the Bunbun comic you can find it here:

I'm really enjoying painting with my new Rosemary & Co, Pure Kolinsky, Series 33 brushes and I have also put paint to Arnórr, the Ewal Beserkr - an evil warrior John Pickford have sculpted for my range of Ewal creatures.

Arnórr is sculpted in a true old school style and I love his heroic proportions and straighten looks a lot. And it wouldn't be a Pickford-miniature without signature demonic faces on it. John managed to fit 6 of them on this small guy - Impressive - and mad it even more fun painting :)

John did me 3 heads for this one. I went for the Spatan styled helmet on this one, but tempted to try do all 3.

A wierd creature called Finngálkin

Those of you that follow my adventure into miniatures making will know today's painted piece, as it has already been released as part of my Ewal Dvergar project.

This one is a rather strange creature. Definitely not a classic evil dwarf creature being part Dvergr, part Pony - cause yes, he is actually a "pony centaur" - I know, a  rather stupid concept isn't it?

Back in 2005, when I returned to the Chaos Dwarfs (after abandoning them in the mid '90s), Like many, I began scratch build Chaos Dwarfs from WFB 6th edt. Battle for Skull Pass (BfSP) dwarfs.

I was rather hooked on the project but it lacked a good alternative for the elite cavalry. Some began using the Bull Centaurs from the 5th edt Big Hats but I'd never really fancied the cow-approach to Chaos Dwarfs and I didn't really think it matched the cheap, scratch building, diy BfSP-Chaos Dwarfs army project, so I started looking into alternatives.
I played around with Goblin Wolves and Orc Boars, but I never found a strong enough concept. I began looking at what others have done and saw they had turned their eyes at the pony wagons found in both the BfSP and GW Dwarf Miners boxes. I've seen much during those years, but I think the idea of a "Pony Centaur" was what nailed it and made me bag the scratch building project for good and made me start re-collecting the true original chaos dwarfs/mini chaos warriors again (those Citadel and Marauder Miniatures made in the mid/late'80s) again. Pony Centaurs .... that's the stupidest idea I'd ever heard of - and definitely hadn't anything to do with evilness and chaos (IMHO) :-)

During the Ewal Dvergar devolepment I've spoke with John Pickford about making centaurs for my project - and I was rather choked when he dared suggesting: "Pony Centaurs". At the time he and White Knight was building the wonderful Dwarf Pony Cavalry and as he had some left overs laying around, John asked me to sent my favourite Ewal Dwarf body, and he'd prove that the concept could work.

Out of that came Finngálkin - and with the permission from White Knight this beauty has been borned:

And it certainly forced me to eat my words again as I think John really got the best out of it - helped along with the humours Cow-masked and Pony-visored helmets. Absolutely brilliant.

I've been wanting to do in a loooooooong time, but I also know very well how these kind of projects tends to drain my (hobby) energy. But I got through it and I'm still enjoying painting :) My Demon Cannon from Old School Miniatures by John Pickford is done.

Short after receiving my prototype copy I started building him a scenic base, but for a long time its been sitting here unpainted starring at me (or rather point his rears at me) like this.

However, with the new-found energy for painting (mainly due to new glasses and a set of Rosemary & Co.Series 33 brushes) I've finally begun painting this huge piece. Those following me on facebook would have seen a few VIPs of the thing, but now it's all finished I shall reveal it on here, first.

So here it is (and I apologies for the huge amount of pictures, but I am actually rather proud of this one - and I might have been a bit over-enthusiastic when I brought out the camera) and I'll give you a photo-tour around the scenic piece and after that, a few individual shots of the five miniatures..
